KODAK EASYSHARE M1093 IS Digital Camera user reviews

"I bought this camera so I would't have to lug my larger, heavier digital SLR camera on vacation. Thanks to the image stabilization feature, the photos I took from a moving car were crisp & clear, the 3X zoom was helpful and I got better photos of night-time exterior scenes than my more expensive camera would have given me. Being accustomed to using SLR cameras, I miss not having a view finder or through-the-lens window. The large panel on this camera was good, but you can't see what you're shooting under bright sunlight conditions. A view finder window would be helpful in future models. While the 10X zoom on my larger camera would have gotten a lot closer to some areas of interest, this camera performed admirably and the photo quality is great! "
"This camera was everything I expected from Kodak and more. Easy point and shoot functinality or manually programmed shots for the more experienced. This is a good 'only camera' or addition to your heavy arsenel for those impromptu shots.

It takes about 3-4 seconds to power up into shoot mode. If you are pleased with your old DX series (which is what I had before) then you will be floored by the performance and quality of this camera. One nice bonus is the internal panoramic auto-stitch.. incredible. I did notice that in "video" mode, the auto focus was a little slow to catch up. That was a little annoying but I admit, I did zero tweaks, so it may be my problem.

I can't speak to it's longevity just yet however I hope I get a good 4-5 years like I did out of the DX. The construction and feel of the camera gives me the impression it will be around in my camera arsenel for awhile. "

"The camera is controlled with a jaunty little joystick. This is one of the better mini-joysticks we've seen because the indent where it sits is large enough to let you move it comfortably about without squashing a thumb against the rest of the frame. We're less keen on the flattened zoom control pad, though, which has only the slightest contour to rock the button from side-to-side. It's not terribly responsive, not helped by the limited number of steps in the zooming process.

"Pros: nice discounted price, easy to use, quick pics, no more losing or packing rechargeables
Cons: now everybodies gonna have the best camera! lol

"I would've said (NO) to the recommend to a friend - only due to selfish reasons so everybody won't have the easiest, cleanest, latest SUPA DUPA digital technology that puts fun back into taking pictures camera on the market! I'm a now and then picture taker as most. But this camera is so easy and so much fun, I had to get it! However there are some events happening soon with friends having babies and holidays and another getting married in FEB-09. The little toggle button on the back is a very easy picture function (ex: picture timer - flash - picture size). I can only imagine how good the pictures are gonna look because the large 3in LCD display is so big, it's really review before U print and/or share your pictures! The LCD is bright and very colorful. And it's the size they said it is - about the same as a deck a cards! One more thing to consider for you folks deciding on getting a new or another camera. (THE BATTERY) This camera has a battery in house that is a one stop plug in without having to carry a bulky battery charger and cable for those expensive rechargeable AA batteries. And I know I'm not the only PERSON forgetting to recharge my batteries - thus rushing to the store to buy some generic one's and still missed the action! Just plug it in and the little blue light flashes on and off. But when steady blue, ITS READY FOR WORK! So thank U Kodak for putting the COLOR and SIZE and FUN back into picture making!

PS
I'm already on my co-workers nerves at work right now shooting pics of them!!!LMAO"

"Pros: no more blurred pix, quick easy setting changes., slim and light to carry, beautiful pictures, awesome editing program, great price!, magically adjust to light conditions, keeps a charge forever
Cons: none for this camera!

"I have used my camera for over a month now and I LOVE it!

It is so easy to use. I love the anti-shake feature. I never get blurred pictures and I take a lot of pictures of all the mountains I can see from my balcony. Gorgeous sunrise pictures too.

You won't be sorry!"
